Mining design of a vein orebody exploitation using two cemented fill methods
The paper refers to the mining design of a mixed sulphide vein orebody. The main aspects of the mine design involve geomechanical and hydrogeological problems. The studied methods used the cemented filling technique. The aim of the paper is to describe a design method based on the calibration of the desig geomechanic model according to the results of the experimental in situ and laboratory measurements. In situ control measurements were carried out to monitor the rock mass, rock supports and cemented fill static behaviour during the mining exploitation in the experimental panels. Laboratory determinations were carried out to asses the strength and deformation features of the intact rock, rock discontinuities, supports and cemented fill. The geomechanical model involved, the numerical simulations of the two different mining stopes during the experimental exploitation activity. The numerical simulation were carried out by using the finite elements method in two and three-dimensional conditions and in the elasto- plastic field to analise the statical behaviour of the underground rock excavation.
