Distributed collaborative team effectiveness: measurement and process improvement

This paper describes a measurement methodology developed for assessing the readiness, and identifying opportunities for improving the effectiveness, of distributed collaborative design teams preparing to conduct a concurrent design session. In addition, the methodology can be extended to evaluate the impact of multiple new technology introductions on the effectiveness of the same design teams.
