THE ROLE OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF UZBEK-SPEAKING GROUPS

The purpose of the study is to determine the educational functions of the Russian language in Uzbek-speaking groups and to substantiate the methodological conditions for the development of communicative competence. The material was based on works on the psychology of speech and linguodidactics, as well as typical difficulties encountered when Russian and Uzbek languages come into contact. Theoretical analysis, comparison of language systems, classification of interference manifestations and pedagogical modeling are used. It has been established that the Russian language performs communicative, cognitive, intercultural and professional functions. The most persistent difficulties are related to phonetics, word combinations, gender and case categories, verb type, word order, and fear of speech error. A learning model is proposed that combines communicative, comparative, activity-based and professionally oriented approaches. The results can be used in designing classes and developing educational materials for the Uzbek-speaking audience.
