THEMATIC DIVISION OF PAREMIOLOGICAL UNITS OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES AND THEIR STRUCTURAL FEATURES

This article examines the thematic classification of paremiological units in English and Uzbek languages and explores their structural features from a comparative linguistic perspective. It focuses on identifying the main thematic groups of proverbs and sayings in both languages, including those related to human relationships, family, work, education, morality, wisdom, nature, and social life. Particular attention is paid to the similarities and differences in their semantic content, linguistic structure, and cultural significance. The study also analyzes the structural characteristics of paremiological units, considering their grammatical patterns, lexical composition, sentence structures, and figurative expressions. A comparative approach is used to reveal how the national values, traditions, beliefs, and worldviews of English- and Uzbek-speaking communities are reflected in proverbs and sayings. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between language, culture, and traditional wisdom and may be useful in comparative linguistics, paremiology, translation studies, and foreign language teaching.
