APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND 3D TECHNOLOGIES IN DENTISTRY

This article examines the scientific and theoretical foundations, clinical and practical significance, and future prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) and three-dimensional (3D) technologies in modern dentistry. Particular attention is paid to the use of innovative technologies in the early diagnosis of dental diseases, digital radiographic image analysis, assessment of dentofacial anatomy, design of prosthetic restorations, and individualized treatment planning. The potential applications of AI algorithms in detecting dental caries, periodontal diseases, and other pathological changes are discussed alongside the clinical applications of 3D scanning, computer-aided modeling, and additive manufacturing. Based on an analytical review of scientific literature, the findings indicate that AI can support diagnostic decision-making, while 3D technologies expand opportunities for personalized dental treatment and the fabrication of dental appliances. The article also addresses current challenges related to equipment costs, technical limitations, algorithm reliability, and professional training. It is concluded that AI and 3D technologies represent promising directions for improving the quality, precision, and individualization of dental care.
