Implementasi Sistem Pakar Deteksi Dampak Penggunaan Gadget Pada Balita Dengan Metode Certainty Factor (Studi Kasus Klinik Utama Loka Medika)

The rapid development of digital technology has increased the intensity of gadget use in toddlers, so that it has the potential to have a negative impact on physical, cognitive, social and behavioral aspects. Limited parental knowledge and access to consultation with experts cause the early detection process to not be carried out optimally. This study aims to implement a web-based expert system using the Certainty Factor method to help parents detect the level of impact of gadget use on toddlers and provide treatment recommendations according to the diagnosis results. System development is carried out through the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation and testing. The diagnostic process applies the Certainty Factor method through a combination of expert and user belief values. The results of the study show that the system is successfully implemented according to the needs of the user and produces a diagnosis based on the symptoms entered. Based on the test results, the system obtained a score of 83.2% from 40 respondents, which indicates that the user acceptance rate is in the very good category. Thus, the Certainty Factor-based expert system is suitable for use as a medium for early detection of the impact of gadget use on toddlers to support handling decisions quickly, objectively and in accordance with expert knowledge.
