The Light Quantum, Priced: Einstein's 1905 Heuristic Viewpoint, the Work Function It Spends per Metal, and the One Slope It Returns

Census pricing (row CC-101) of the light-quantum step of Einstein's 1905 paper on the production and transformation of light, Ann. Phys. 17, 132-148, against a fixed bench (what is postulated, what is derived, what the postulates return numerically, what they cannot reach). The step -- monochromatic radiation behaving as if it consisted of independent localised quanta of h nu, absorbed whole -- is a heuristic viewpoint by the paper's own title, not derived from Maxwell's theory; it moves the discreteness Planck (CC-07) kept in resonator exchange into the light itself. Verified in the notebook (36 checks, exit 0) from the hypothesis plus named exact-SI constants and named work-function inputs (the one fitted input per material): thresholds Cs (2.14 eV) 5.1745e14 Hz / 579.37 nm, Na (2.28) 5.5130e14 / 543.79, Zn (4.30) 1.0397e15 / 288.34, Cu (4.70) 1.1365e15 / 263.80; K_max lines (Na 1.855668 eV at 1.0e15 Hz; Zn 1.903502 eV at 1.5e15 Hz); and one universal stopping-potential slope h/e = 4.135667697e-15 V/Hz shared by all four metals, whose intercepts are the four fitted work functions. Remainders at full size: phi is fitted per material and never computed; propagation is unreconciled in the paper; Compton's momentum assignment is a further postulate at CC-102. Scout-grade verification per Batch 6 (no verbatim primary reading). EXTENSION. Vacuum catastrophe NOT SOLVED; quantum gravity NOT SOLVED.
