Academic work, academic life, academic AI How do we feel about them?
Presentation about the ReMO COST Action at the Academic Leaders Impact Summit at the EIC 2026 Conference. This presentation outlines the sustainability strategy for the Researcher Mental Health COST Action (ReMO), which represents over 300 researchers from 42 countries. It highlights the critical need to address researcher well-being by focusing on key areas like community, job control, and predictability, supported by initiatives such as the Researcher Mental Health and Well-being Manifesto and the PeerPower project. Rather than creating a new official body that would incur high administrative overhead, the strategy emphasizes integrating ReMO’s existing outputs into new and ongoing actions and actively pursuing new project proposals to ensure continued impact and support for researchers.
