Gricean Maxim Violations in the Adult Attachment Interview Across Clinical Populations: A Scoping Review and a Stratified Reading Framework
Scoping review conducted according to PRISMA-ScR and JBI methodology, mapping how discourse-level outcomes of the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI), coherence and state-of-mind scales, unresolved, Cannot Classify and Hostile-Helpless indices, reflective functioning, and linguistic features, have been operationalized in adults with defined clinical conditions, and whether studies addressed condition-related, non-attachment sources of Gricean maxim violations. The evidence informs the Stratified Reading Framework (SRF), a three-layer supplementary procedure for reading clinical AAI transcripts. This project hosts the review protocol, database search strategies, PRISMA-ScR checklist, and completed charting forms.
