A geriátriai re-adaptáció áttekintése társadalmi és egészségügyi szempontok szerint
This study provides an overview of the theoretical and practical frameworks of geriatric re-adaptation from both social and healthcare perspectives, drawing on the latest professional guidelines and university textbooks. Geriatric re-adaptation is a complex, multidimensional restorative method that becomes necessary when traditional rehabilitation—the full restoration of original organ functions—is no longer achievable. The process aims to support elderly individuals in "re-adjusting" to their altered life situations, while preserving and restoring their capacity for self-care as much as possible. The paper also discusses 2025 demographic data and the challenges posed by an aging population, emphasizing the importance of government measures and increasing healthy life years to maintain social balance. The fundamental message of the publication is that the elderly, due to their physical, mental, and emotional needs, should never be left alone.
