RISK STRATIFICATION AND INDIVIDUALIZED PERIOPERATIVE MANAGEMENT IN PATIENTS UNDERGOING SIMULTANEOUS SURGERY
Patients with combined diseases of the abdominal or-gans and anterior abdominal wall often require correc-tion of more than one surgical condition. Simultaneous surgery can avoid repeated anesthesia and hospitaliza-tion; however, the combined procedure requires careful assessment of the patient's general condition and the risks as-sociated with each component of the operation. The conventional ASA classification alone may not ade-quately reflect the specific risks of these patients.
