Self-organizing of copper oxide (І) nanoparticles on plymer substrate
The physical mechanisms of formation and spatial organization of copper (I) oxide nanoparticles obtained as a colloidal solution via laser ablation of bulk copper in distilled water using fiber laser have been investigated. The formation of spherical Cu2O nanoparticles with an average size of 30–50 nm was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. Optical microscopy was used to study the self-organization processes of particles driven by flows induced by non-uniform fluid evaporation. It was demonstrated that transforming the meniscus shape from radially symmetric to linear using geometric constraints ensures more universal structural self-organization. The influence of nanoparticle concentration on the morphology of the deposited layer was established, showing the factors influencing the spatial self-organization of nanoparticles.
