One Structure Reads the Chemical Bond: Sealed Blind Tests of a Deterministic Atomic Structure

This paper presents a new model and judges it in its own frame. Today's chemistry rests on a central nucleus surrounded by electrons whose positions are given only as probabilities. The Union-Dipole Atomic Structure (UDAS) has no central nucleus: protons and neutrons are bound directly in pairs, and every electron is a definite member in a definite position. As Thomas Kuhn showed, a new frame is judged by whether it answers its own questions against the measurements. The question here is: does the structure, by its own rules, read bond lengths it has never seen? A measured bond length belongs to no model; the laboratory is the referee both frames share. In three blind tests, each sealed and fingerprinted (SHA-256) before any laboratory source was opened, a law read from the drawn structure of two atoms and their environment predicted chemical bond lengths: - LENGTH-1: 10 bonds of homoleptic halides, median error 2.46 pm, against 7.65 pm for the sum of covalent radii. - LENGTH-2: 34 bonds in 22 mixed molecules, median error 0.68 pm (28 of 34 within 1 %), against 2.90 pm. - LENGTH-3: 12 bonds in 9 molecules reserved by rule, median error 1.03 pm, against 6.42 pm. A structural correction for boron, read from the structure after a miss, sealed and tested on five boron bonds never seen, reduced the error on every one of them by about 3 pm. Beside a standard quantum calculation (B3LYP/def2-TZVP) sealed in advance, the law's median error on the 46 blind lines was 0.77 pm against 1.40 pm. One number fixed on ammonia reads the angle of a carbon with one double bond, 114.03°, closer than the textbook 120° in 13 of 15 molecules. Every rule, every prediction with its fingerprint, every laboratory value with its source, and every program are inside the paper; the PDF carries the complete verification package as an attachment. The misses are named, and the paper shows how the same positions that make a bond hold the atom itself, the foundation of a companion work on the fate of the atom. English and Arabic editions.
