The Dust Star, Priced: What Oppenheimer and Snyder Assumed, What the Assumptions Buy, and What Pressure Would Say Instead

Census pricing (row CC-94) of the dust ansatz of Oppenheimer & Snyder's 'On Continued Gravitational Contraction,' Phys. Rev. 56, 455-459 (1939), member by member against a fixed bench (what is postulated, what is derived, what the postulates return numerically, what they cannot reach). The bundle -- pressure set identically to zero (p = 0), homogeneity, spherical symmetry, imposed together -- is postulated whole; given it, the collapse is an exact derivation, verified symbolically in the notebook (the cycloid's Friedmann residual is exactly 0). Computed from named CODATA inputs: for one solar mass released from rest at twice its gravitational radius (r_s = 2953.34 m), comoving free-fall time 4.376808e-5 s, horizon crossing at 0.818310 of the fall for the case computed, density up by exactly 8 at crossing. The deleted term is priced against the problem pressure defines: the TOV static floor (Buchdahl, 2GM/(Rc^2) = 8/9) with central pressure p_c/(rho c^2) = 0.170271 at compactness 0.40 rising to 74074.1 at 0.888887; homogeneity excludes the growing mode dust dynamics amplifies; the dust sound speed is identically zero against c/sqrt(3) = 1.7309e8 m/s. The conclusion's later vindication by pressured numerical collapse and the singularity theorems is credited to the later theory, not to the 1939 paper. EXTENSION. Vacuum catastrophe NOT SOLVED; quantum gravity NOT SOLVED.
