The Projection-Identity Coupled Recursive Functional Dynamics Theory (PICRFD)

The Projection-Identity Coupled Recursive Functional Dynamics Theory (PICRFD) is proposed as a general process framework for examining how functional history can generate projections about subsequent performance, how those projections can become coupled to an externally attributed identity, and how the resulting coupling may influence the evaluation, validation, acceptance, rejection, and response to later functional outcomes. The framework extends a projection-identity and projection-outcome divergence architecture by placing functional execution and recursive feedback at the center of a dynamic, closed-loop model. The theory distinguishes functional processing from outcome realization, projection comparison, evaluative judgment, causal attribution, justification, evidential validation, acceptance decisions, and functional response. It further distinguishes a projection-relative deviation from a criterion-relative deviation. These distinctions are necessary because an outcome can fall below a projection while still meeting an independently defined criterion. The primary case concerns a student who repeatedly earns high examination scores, becomes associated with an externally projected identity of a high achiever, and subsequently earns a score below the expected level. The resulting discrepancy may alter the observers' judgments and responses. Those responses may modify the student's subsequent functional conditions, and the next performance can then become the object of another evaluation cycle. The framework specifies a 17-stage default mechanism, a 12-layer theoretical architecture, nine analytical domains, a variable dictionary, state-transition equations, ten provisional research hypotheses, and a research program for construct validation, controlled evaluation studies, longitudinal analysis, model identification, and independent replication. Time is treated as a cycle index with optional real-time measurements, rather than as the framework's sole foundational medium. Measurement metrics and communication media are likewise application-specific parameters rather than universal prerequisites.PICRFD is presented as a researchable theoretical proposal. Its distinctive explanatory value, causal pathways, parameter values, dynamic stability, domain generalizability, and originality remain questions for systematic literature review and empirical investigation.
