The influence of the degree of graphitization of carbon nanotubes on their catalytic activity in hydrogenation reactions

Carbon nanotubes (CNT) with an average diameter in the range of 10-40 nm were synthesized using chemical vapor deposition (CVD). A comprehensive set of physicochemi¬cal methods was employed to determine their structural characteristics, surface functional group composition, and catalytic activity in the ethylene hydrogenation reaction. These methods included X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis. Based on the obtained data, an analysis of the correlations between the structural and surface characteristics of the CNT and their catalytic properties was performed. A correlation was established between the degree of graphitization of the CNT and the rate of ethylene hydrogenation.

A correlation was established between the degree of graphitization of the CNT and the rate of ethylene hydrogenation.
