Can Black Holes Give Birth to Successor Universes? (LCF-113)
What if gravitational collapse is not an endpoint, but a transition into another cosmological domain? LCF-113 investigates whether black holes can give rise to successor universes that inherit physical constraints or initial conditions from their predecessors, using classical general relativity to examine the proposed mechanisms. Seven interconnected mathematical and numerical studies examine closed-universe bounces, gravitational junction conditions, trapped surfaces, thin-shell dynamics, radiating boundaries, and scalar-field matter conversion. The calculations establish concrete results. Closed cosmological regions admit contraction-to-expansion transitions under identified conditions. Boundary geometry determines which transitions satisfy the relevant junction requirements, including a critical angular threshold near 52.5° in the specified model. Smooth scalar-field models produce four bouncing solutions among twenty tested configurations. The same analysis identifies decisive constraints. An unmodified Schwarzschild exterior obstructs the prescribed trapped, comoving transition, while global singularity theorems constrain complete nonsingular parent-to-successor spacetime constructions. The central open problem is the derivation of a covariant relationship between inherited LCF-113 quantities and the gravitational initial conditions of a successor universe. The research is supported by independently implemented Python and Mathematica programs that passed 189 Python study checks, 10 cross-study consistency checks, and 175 Wolfram verification checks. The full manuscript and source code are available for independent examination, reproduction, and further theoretical development. LCF-113 establishes a reproducible mathematical foundation for investigating cosmological inheritance and identifies the gravitational conditions and physical relationships necessary to advance the hypothesis.
