EFEITOS DA IMPLANTAÇÃO DE UM SISTEMA DE EXECUÇÃO DE MANUFATURA (MES) NA VISIBILIDADE OPERACIONAL
This study investigated the impact of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) on the operational visibility of a company in the automotive components sector. The research was applied, descriptive, and exploratory, and was conducted through a literature review and a case study. It adopted a predominantly qualitative approach, supported by quantitative data provided by the system. Seven functionalities were analyzed: Synoptic Board, Time Summary, Status Management, Loss Analysis in table and chart formats, Event History, and Production Report. The results showed that the system centralized information that had previously been recorded manually, stored in spreadsheets, and communicated across different departments. The system also enabled real-time machine monitoring, identification of the most significant production losses, access to historical data, and performance indicator monitoring. It was concluded that the implementation of the MES improved the availability, organization, and traceability of information, contributing to faster and better-informed operational decision-making.
