Do commercial publishers care about metadata quality&quantity?

The project presented in the talk wants to define a set of commercial publishers, a set of relevant metadata (e.g. affiliations), and a set of indicators (e.g. type of publication, if they are open access or not); then define open data sources (e.g. crossref participation reports) and techniques (use of API, scripts) to find out quantitative andqualitative dimensions of the issue.
