An Essential Parameters of Small Clinical Crowns Include Causes, Treatment, Signs, Contra Indications and Prosthodontics Considerations

It is challenging to restore these dental units in a way that is both esthetically pleasing and biologically appropriate if the clinical crowns of teeth are deficient in a dimensional manner. Understanding both the dental and periodontal characteristics of therapy is necessary for successful management since it is frequently impossible to achieve an appropriate restoration without first surgically lengthening the current clinical crowns. To obtain a satisfying outcome, the difficulties associated with teeth with short clinical crowns necessitate a thorough treatment strategy and appropriate therapeutic sequencing. For therapy to be effective, the intended outcome must be visualized. The periodontal and restorative aspects of using short clinical crowns to restore teeth are explained in this article. The biologic, restorative, and esthetic demands of brief clinical crowns are typically met by combining several modes of therapy. This paper reviews several approaches to managing short clinical crowns. It has also been examined how the position of the restoration margin affects the preservation of periodontal and dental symbiosis and the consequences of full-coverage restorations that violate the supracrestal gingivae.
