FINANCIAL PAYMENTS IMPOSED AFTER THE LIQUIDATION OF THE KOKAND KHANATE AND THEIR ROLE IN COLONIAL POLICY
This thesis examines the financial obligations established by the treaty signed on 22 September 1875 near Margilan between K. P. von Kaufmann, Governor-General of Turkestan, and Nasriddin Khan of Kokand. Particular attention is paid to Articles 6 and 7, which stipulated the reimbursement of military expenses, payment deadlines, and interest on overdue debts. Based on information about payments made to the treasury of the Russian Empire between 1876 and 1885, the study explores the duration and economic implications of these obligations.
