Advances in cryoablation in tumor immunotherapy
Abstract Cryoablation has become an effective, non-invasive way to treat tumors because it is precise and not painful. It is currently more commonly used for solid cancers such as liver, kidney, lung, and breast cancer. Cryoablation is different from other kinds of radiation treatment or microwave ablation because it makes the tumor antigens come out in a more natural way. This activates T cells and primes them to recognize and attack cancer cells. Thus, cryoablation not only eradicates the local tumor but also creates opportunities for combination strategies that harness the body’s own immune system. In this paper, we will study the molecular mechanism through which Cryoablation produces anti-tumor immunity, and we will also talk about the latest developments in Cryoablation combined with different types of immunotherapy. We want to find new and better ways to cure cancer.
