Relação Médico-Paciente: a Sociedade do Algoritmo como barreira para efetividade do Referencial Bioético da Autonomia do Paciente antes da consulta
The Algorithm Society has altered the way individuals relate to one another and to the social body. The doctor-patient relationship - a special type of human interaction - is feeling the impact of this new social context. One of these impacts is the weakening of patient autonomy, due to digital cognitive vulnerability and the risk of algorithmic paternalism. Adopting a theoretical and critical perspective, this bibliographic study aimed to analyze the effects of digital cognitive vulnerability, characteristic of the "Algorithm Society", on individual self-determination and the need to consider autonomy as more than a liberal individual ideal.
