Avaliação da Eficiência Operacional em Operações Portuárias de Importação: Estudo de Caso de Porto Multicarga

This study analyzes the operational efficiency of import port operations at a multipurpose port, focusing on the identification of material waste and time losses. The applied and descriptive research was conducted through a case study, in situ observation, document analysis, and operational data collection. Semi-automated, hybrid, and non-automated operations were compared. Results indicated losses below 1% in semi-automated operations, between 1% and 2% in hybrid operations, and between 2% and 3% in non-automated operations. Cargo relief was also identified as an important source of time and material losses. It is concluded that process mapping enables the identification of bottlenecks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
