Reconsidering Einstein's Comments at Leiden about the Ether: SP3 Space-Medium Theory and the Existing Observations of Nature

SP3 is offered not as a replacement for the successful equations of physics, but as a renewed physicalperspective on what their established experimental foundations imply about space. The Michelson–Morleyexperiment challenged the expected motion-dependent signal of a particular stationary mechanical ether; its nullresult did not establish that all possible physical organization of space is absent. Einstein’s 1920 Leiden lecturelikewise distinguished a physically endowed space from an ether whose motion could be tracked like ordinarymatter. SP3 proposes that matter, light propagation, atomic transitions, gravity, and galaxy organization can bereconsidered as manifestations of organized energy movement within a common, history-conditioned spacemedium. The program begins with existing measurements, not a requirement for new phenomena. It examineswhether historical reluctance to attribute behavior to a medium has encouraged unnecessarily separate physicalinterpretations. This is a proposed interpretive program, not a demonstration that established theories orobservations are mistaken.
