Composição e estrutura da ictiofauna em riachos da sub-bacia do rio Guariúma, Mata Atlântica

This study characterized the composition and structure of fish assemblages in headwater streams of the Guariúma River sub-basin, within Serra do Mar State Park. Ten 100-m reaches were sampled in the Lambari, Guariúma, and Serraria streams using electrofishing. A total of 1,887 individuals and 19 species were recorded. Abundance ranged from 60 to 412 individuals per reach, and species richness from 5 to 15. Shannon diversity ranged from 1.08 to 2.32, and Pielou evenness from 0.49 to 0.86. The results reveal variation in assemblage structure among reaches and differences in patterns of abundance, richness, diversity, and evenness of the ichthyofauna.
