Analisis Kelayakan Bisnis Platform Edukasi Digital Skillswap Berbasis Mekanisme Teach-To-Earn Menggunakan Pendekatan Lean Startup
The rapid growth of digital technology and increased internet penetration in Indonesia present major opportunities in digital education. According to the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII), internet users in Indonesia reached 221.5 million in 2024, with most users aged 18–35 [1]. Despite projected annual growth of over 20% in the online education market, a gap remains between learning needs and users' purchasing power, as online course prices range from IDR 200,000 to IDR 2,000,000 per course. This study analyzes the business feasibility of SkillSwap, a digital learning platform using a teach-to-earn model where users earn learning credits by contributing knowledge rather than solely through payment. Market validation included a survey of 15 respondents (active students, fresh graduates, and self-learners), Business Model Canvas (BMC) analysis, competitor analysis, Figma-based wireframe design, and financial analysis (CapEx/OpEx, BEP, ROI). Survey results show 80% of respondents cite cost as the main barrier to online learning, and 93.4% have canceled course registrations due to financial constraints. Interest in the contribution-based model reached 73.3%. Financial analysis with an initial investment of IDR 18,950,000 indicates an operational Break-Even Point at month 11 with 13,000 Monthly Active Users (MAU) and a 6.9% ROI at the end of year two. These findings indicate that SkillSwap is feasible to develop as an inclusive and sustainable digital education platform.
