Digital well-being and technostress as factors associated with student permanence and retention in a u-learning undergraduate degree program

This research analyzes the factors associated with student permanence and retention in the Bachelor's Degree in Education and Pedagogical Innovation [LEIP] at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, Unit 321 Zacatecas, under a u-learning modality. The objective is to identify the aspects that favor school continuity from the students' perspective. Under a qualitative approach based on a phenomenological-descriptive design, a structured 29-item questionnaire was applied to a representative sample of 312 students. Qualitative analysis of the responses evidenced that personal and professional motivation, modality flexibility, family support, technology, academic relevance, teaching and tutorial accompaniment, institutional attention, and a sense of belonging constitute the pillars determining student retention in this mobile learning environment.
