Saúde do Trabalhador no Brasil: Entre a Proteção Constitucional, as Políticas Públicas e os Desafios Contemporâneos
Workers’ health is a fundamental right linked to human dignity and the social value of work. This study analyzes the historical evolution of labour protection in Brazil, its constitutional foundations, the National Workers’ Health Policy and current challenges arising from mental health and new forms of work. A qualitative bibliographic and documentary study was conducted using a deductive approach and SmartLab data. The findings show a broad legal framework but persistent enforcement and effectiveness gaps, intensified by psychosocial and technological risks. Effective protection requires coordination among law, public policies, prevention and social participation.
