MODERN METHODS FOR AUTOMATING TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY

This article examines modern methods and technologies for automating technological processes in the food industry, focusing on improving production efficiency, product quality, food safety, and resource utilization. Particular attention is paid to the application of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, and digital twin technologies. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations of industrial automation, identifies the main challenges associated with implementing intelligent control systems, and proposes an integrated framework for improving food production management. The findings indicate that combining traditional automation with advanced digital technologies can enhance process stability, facilitate real-time monitoring, reduce operational inefficiencies, and support sustainable production. The article also discusses the economic and technological implications of automation and provides recommendations for the gradual implementation of intelligent manufacturing systems in food processing enterprises.
