ANALISIS PENGARUH DEBT TO EQUITY RATIO DAN LOAN TO DEPOSIT RATIO TERHADAP RETURN ON EQUITY PADA BANK KONVENSIONAL YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA (BEI) TAHUN 2021-2024

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Debt toEquity Ratio (DER) and the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) onthe Return on Equity (ROE) of conventional banks listed onthe Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2024 period. This research employs a quantitative method with a causal-associative approach. The study population consists ofconventional banks listed on the IDX, with sample selectionconducted using the purposive sampling technique. The data used are secondary data obtained from company financialstatements. The data analysis techniques include classicalassumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, andhypothesis testing using the F-test and t-test. The resultsindicate that DER and LDR do not have a statisticallysignificant simultaneous effect on ROE. Partially, DER doesnot have a statistically significant effect on ROE, and LDR likewise shows no statistically significant effect on ROE. These findings suggest that DER and LDR do not significantlyexplain variations in ROE among the conventional banksexamined during the observation period. Therefore, companies and investors should consider other factors, suchas operational efficiency and asset quality, when improvingand evaluating banking profitability performance.
