DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCES OF PHILOLOGY STUDENTS BASED ON EDUCATIONAL WEB QUEST TECHNOLOGY

The article addresses the problem of developing the communicative competence of philology students through professionally oriented digital technologies. The author substantiates the need for systematic use of the interactive web quest method in teaching the history of Russian literature. Using the author-designed digital quest “Secrets of ‘The Captain’s Daughter’” (based on the tale by A. S. Pushkin) as an example, the article describes the main stages of organizing the learning process: diagnostic, design, methodological, organizational and evaluative. The differentiation of students’ research roles and the specifics of integrating ICT (digital corpora, interactive maps and peer-review tools) are described. The results of a student survey and of a pedagogical experiment (124 students in the experimental group and 110 in the control group) are presented. It is concluded that the combination of textual knowledge and developed speech skills in a digital environment contributes to the professional readiness of the future philologist.
