Optimalisasi Identitas Visual Melalui Logo dan Spanduk untuk Memperkuat Pengenalan UMKM Gula Merah
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting the local economy. However, limitations in visual identity and promotional media can hinder efforts to introduce products to consumers. This community service activity aimed to provide visual identity support for Gula Merah Pak Sugeng, an MSME located in Bingkat Village, Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The implementation methods included observation and identification of the partner's needs, education on the importance of visual identity, logo and banner design, as well as banner printing and installation. The activity involved one participant, namely the MSME owner. The results consisted of one logo design and one promotional banner, which was printed and installed at the business location. In addition, the owner received educational information about the function of visual identity in supporting business recognition. The activity was evaluated descriptively based on the implementation of each stage and the outputs produced. The results indicated an improvement in the availability of visual identity and promotional media for the MSME. However, changes in the owner's level of understanding and the impact on customer numbers and sales could not be determined because no specific assessment was conducted. Therefore, this activity is expected to serve as an initial step in supporting the recognition and development of the visual identity of Gula Merah Pak Sugeng.
