Intervensi Sinemaedukasi Berbasis Hope terhadap Grit Akademik Siswa SMP
Junior high school students frequently face dynamic academic demands, requiring high academic grit for success. Psychological intervention based on strengthening hope is a strategic alternative to develop this aspect. This study examines the effect of group guidance using hope-based cinemaeducation techniques on junior high school students' academic grit. The quantitative quasi-experimental research utilized a non-equivalent control group design. Data were collected via an academic grit scale (pretest and posttest), while the intervention followed a validated experimental guidebook; the scale was also validated prior to use. Descriptively, the experimental group showed a higher increase in academic grit than the control group. The Wilcoxon test demonstrated significant pretest-posttest differences in both the experimental (p = 0.011 < 0.05) and control groups (p = 0.018 < 0.05). Furthermore, the Mann-Whitney test (p = 0.001 < 0.05) proved that the academic grit increase in the experimental group was significantly higher. In conclusion, group guidance using hope-based cinemaeducation techniques effectively develops junior high school students' academic grit.
