Dinocras cephalotes

Dinocras cephalotes (Curtis, 1827) DIST. Individuals, including both larvae and imagos, of this species were very abundant at site CO (complementary site downstream the Orédon Lake) and scarce at site D. As no larvae has been detected at site R, the collected female imago was probably a dispersing individual from downstream. This species was not observed in the 70 ’ s, thereby probably absent at that time because easily identifiable at both larval and imaginal stages.

Abstract

Dinocras cephalotes (Curtis, 1827) DIST. Individuals, including both larvae and imagos, of this species were very abundant at site CO (complementary site downstream the Orédon Lake) and scarce at site D. As no larvae has been detected at site R, the collected female imago was probably a dispersing individual from downstream. This species was not observed in the 70 ’ s, thereby probably absent at that time because easily identifiable at both larval and imaginal stages.
