Compensated microwave control of supersolid symmetry in a molecular quantum gas
Abstract Microwave dressing of ultracold polar molecules can tune both the strength and tensor structure of their interactions. We derive a correlated dual-microwave trajectory that reverses the in-plane nematic component while keeping the strongest first-order planar attraction fixed. For representative NaCs parameters, a nine-channel two-molecule Floquet calculation in the J = 0, 1 manifold shows that the selected shielding-well depth changes by only 0.43%, while the orthogonal attraction is driven to zero and then becomes repulsive. An auxiliary zero-energy radial test is node-free under two inner-boundary prescriptions for the conservative reference trajectory. Separately, a nonlocal complex-field model implementing the same compensation principle exhibits a weakly first-order conversion between a distorted three-direction supersolid and orthogonal stripe supersolids while retaining finite phase stiffness. The microscopic two-body compensation and the reduced finite- wave-vector model are kept distinct, so no quantitative NaCs scattering length or roton gap is inferred from the latter.
