ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES AS A FACTOR IN ENSURING SUSTAINABILITY OF AN ENTERPRISE
The article is devoted to the study of enterprise energy resilience in the context of modern economic and energy challenges. Particular attention is paid to the role of alternative energy sources as an important factor in ensuring the stability of enterprise operations under conditions of energy instability, increasing energy risks, and transformation of the energy market. The relevance of the research is determined by the growing need for enterprises to adapt to crisis conditions, reduce vulnerability to external energy factors, and improve the efficiency of energy resource management. The paper substantiates that energy resilience should be considered as the ability of an enterprise to maintain stable functioning, ensure continuity of production and operational processes, and adapt to changes in the external environment despite disruptions in energy supply or other energy-related threats. It is emphasized that energy resilience is closely connected with energy security, energy efficiency, diversification of energy supply sources, and the overall adaptability of the enterprise management system. The study highlights the growing importance of renewable energy in the formation of sustainable enterprise energy systems. The use of solar, wind, and bioenergy is considered as one of the promising directions for improving the reliability of energy supply and reducing dependence on centralized energy systems. It is determined that the implementation of alternative energy technologies contributes not only to the optimization of energy consumption but also to strengthening the operational stability and flexibility of enterprises under conditions of uncertainty. The article also focuses on the influence of alternative energy on reducing the risks of production downtime, improving the continuity of technological processes, and increasing the level of energy autonomy of enterprises. It is noted that the development of renewable energy creates preconditions for the formation of more adaptive and diversified models of enterprise energy supply capable of functioning effectively even under crisis conditions. In addition, the main barriers to the development of alternative energy in Ukraine are identified, including high investment costs, insufficient financial support, technological limitations, and the need for modernization of energy infrastructure. At the same time, the importance of further development of renewable energy in the context of European integration processes, energy transformation, and strengthening the energy independence of enterprises is substantiated. The prospects for further research are related to the development of practical approaches to the implementation of renewable energy technologies and the assessment of their effectiveness in ensuring enterprise energy resilience.
