Experiencias y valoraciones de los aprendientes de español como L2 acerca del aprendizaje y la evaluación de la pronunciación

This study analyzes the opinions and experiences of 128 L2 Spanish learners at different levels (A2-C1) regarding the learning and assessment of pronunciation. The study focuses on several issues that have received little attention in the literature, such as the place of pronunciation in their learning preferences; the types of tasks they consider most appropriate to assess their phonetic competence; the possibilities they see for acquiring native pronunciation; the importance they attach as listeners to intelligibility, comprehensibility, and accentedness; and the differences that exist on these and other issues –such as learning experiences or the desire to achieve a native pronunciation– according to their language level. These findings show that there are important differences between language levels, and that A2 learners differ most from their peers.
