Innovative economy as a determinant of the business processes transformation of domestic enterprises

This article examines how the innovation-driven economy affects business process transformation at domestic enterprises amid digital transformation, the development of entrepreneurship, and Ukraine’s postwar economic recovery. The study aims to substantiate theoretical propositions on the impact of the innovation economy on business process transformation in domestic enterprises by systematizing influencing factors, developing a conceptual model of the business process transformation mechanism, and identifying the strategic outcomes of this development. As a result, the study systematized technological, organizational and managerial, information and communication, market, and institutional factors that determine the directions of business process transformation in enterprises in the context of an innovation-driven economy, and summarized their interrelationships and the nature of their impact on process changes. The study proposes a conceptual model of the mechanism of the innovative economy’s influence, reflecting the logical sequence from external environmental factors to business process transformation, the emergence of new characteristics of process management, and the achievement of strategic results in enterprise operations. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the systematization of the factors influencing the transformation of business processes at domestic enterprises under the innovative economy and the development of a conceptual model of this influence mechanism, which –unlike existing approaches – comprehensively integrates key determinants, a system of interrelated factors, directions of process changes, new characteristics of business processes, and the strategic outcomes of enterprise operations. The practical significance of the results lies in the potential to use the proposed theoretical principles and conceptual model as a basis for improving process management, enhancing adaptability, fostering innovation, and boosting competitiveness. Keywords: innovative economy, business processes, business process transformation, enterprises, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, process management.
