Policy-linked motives and leisure-time physical activity around mandatory university fitness testing: A four-wave longitudinal dataset

This repository contains the research dataset associated with the study "Policy-linked motives predict a pre-test surge and enjoyment predicts post-test maintenance of leisure-time physical activity around a mandatory university fitness test: A four-wave prospective study." The study followed 1,258 undergraduate students from 40 physical education classes at two universities in China. Data were collected at four time points before and after a mandatory university fitness test. The dataset contains measures of physical activity, policy-intervention motivation, enjoyment motivation, and relevant covariates.
