Pendampingan Pascasertifikasi Halal bagi UMKM Non-Muslim Melalui Penguatan Sistem Jaminan Produk Halal

The success of halal certification among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is determined not only by certificate ownership but also by the ability of business actors to maintain sustainable halal compliance. This issue is particularly important for halal-certified non-Muslim MSMEs, as an understanding of post-certification obligations needs to be translated into consistent management of materials, production processes, hygiene, and documentation. This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of non-Muslim MSMEs to maintain post-certification halal compliance through the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH). The program was conducted at a non-Muslim-owned food MSME in Malang Regency using a participatory approach consisting of initial condition identification, socialization, training, procedure implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. Program achievement was evaluated based on changes in understanding, SJPH implementation, and the partner’s ability to independently implement the required procedures. The results demonstrated improved understanding among the owner and employees regarding post-certification obligations and the importance of maintaining halal consistency. The mentoring also strengthened raw material and supplier control, production hygiene, implementation of working procedures, SJPH documentation, and the use of simple monitoring instruments. The program shifted the orientation from certificate-based compliance toward compliance embedded in production practices and business management. Post-certification assistance is therefore essential for strengthening the independence of non-Muslim MSMEs in maintaining halal assurance and sustainably enhancing consumer trust.
