Silver-Catalyzed Direct Oxo-alkylation of Azauracils with Tertiary Cycloalkanols via C–C Bond Cleavage
In this study, using low-toxicity and easily accessible aryl-substituted tertiary cycloalkanols as starting materials, the precise C-H functionalization at the C6 position of azauracils is efficiently achieved under silver-catalyzed conditions. This strategy features operational simplicity, a broad substrate scope covering aryl-substituted tertiary cycloalkanols and diversely substituted azauracils, and high compatibility with azauracil cores fused to pharmaceutical scaffolds, thus affording an efficient approach to expanding the structural diversity of azauracils.
