Engineering AP/Exo‐Cas12 as an efficient toolbox for rice genome editing via integrated repair and exonuclease modules
A modular apurinic/apyrimidinic (AP)/Exo-Cas12 toolbox integrates cell selection enrichment with AP-repair pathways or exonucleases for plant editing. It achieves efficient multiplex genome editing and easily detectable large DNA deletions in rice, providing a robust platform for multigene knockouts and crop improvement.
