Biological Augmentation of Arthroscopic Partial‐Thickness Bursal‐Sided Rotator Cuff Repair Using Minced Autologous Glenohumeral Ligament Tissue Particles
Abstract Rotator cuff tears are associated with high retear rates and limited healing capacity after repair. We describe an arthroscopic biological augmentation technique using minced autologous glenohumeral ligament tissue during double‐row partial‐thickness bursal‐sided rotator cuff repair. Ligament tissue is harvested, processed into particulate grafts, and implanted within a suture‐bridge construct to create a stable, biologically active interpositional layer at the repair site. This technique provides a simple and fully autologous method to enhance the local healing environment during rotator cuff repair.
