Rhithrogena strenua Thomas 1982

Rhithrogena strenua Thomas, 1982 TAXO-2022. It is an endemic species of the Pyrenean mountain (Fig. 2 B) described after Lavandier’s study. The larva does not present any identification difficulties following Brulin (2004), but the species is not referenced in molecular databases. Unfortunately, the attempt to sequence three individuals was unsuccessful, potentially due to unsuitable COI primer for this species.
