REASSESSING GFCI CONNECTIVITY: DISTINGUISHING REPUTATIONAL AND FUNCTIONAL CONNECTIVITY
The article evaluates the measurement validity of GFCI connectivity and distinguishes professional recognition from functional financial integration. Critical methodological analysis and a comparison of GFCI 37 and GFCI 39 show that survey expansion does not establish improved representativeness. The study identifies selection and coverage risks and proposes diagnostics of external assessment share, geographical diversity, directional balance, concentration, and classification stability. An integrated model compares reputational profiles with observable banking, investment, and ownership relationships. Its contribution is to clarify interpretative limits without constructing an unsupported composite index. Restricted access to assessment-level data prevents centre-level testing; the proposed model remains unvalidated.
