Lithospheric Displacement and Geodetic Collapse: A Mechanics-Based Simulation of Global Atlantis-Type Inundation
This paper presents a formal geophysical and macroeconomic structural analysis of a catastrophic asymmetric lithospheric shift: a 20-meter vertical displacement of the Pacific Tectonic Plate centered at Hawaii, tapering to 1 meter across the Pacific Rim. This tectonic deformation induces a global sea-level rise of 4–6 meters. We model the energy requirements, immediate hydro-kinetic impacts, 1-year demographics, and systemic societal collapse. The study connects modern technological hubris with historical paradigms of isolation, drawing structural analogies to Plato’s Atlantis and the socio-ecological collapse of Rapa Nui (Easter Island).
