Kontekstualisasi Islam Berkemajuan Dalam Transformasi Pembelajaran PAI Digital

Digital transformation presents both opportunities and challenges for Islamic Religious Education (IRE), particularly regarding religious knowledge authority, unequal access, character formation, and the use of artificial intelligence. This study aims to examine the characteristics of Progressive Islam (Islam Berkemajuan) and develop a conceptual framework for contextualizing them in digitally mediated IRE. Employing a qualitative library research design, the study examines the Risalah Islam Berkemajuan, Islamic education scholarship, and publications on educational technology. The materials are interpreted through thematic categorization, critical reading, and conceptual synthesis. The analysis proposes that five characteristics of Islam Berkemajuan—monotheism, commitment to the Qur’an and Sunnah, ijtihad and renewal, moderation, and mercy for all creation—can inform five educational orientations: spiritual integrity, religious source literacy, critical innovation, inclusive dialogue, and digital social responsibility. The proposed framework connects value-based learning outcomes, purposeful technology selection, digital-issue-based inquiry, ethical guidance on AI use, and authentic reflective assessment. Digital transformation in IRE should therefore be assessed not simply by platform adoption but by the quality of religious reasoning and ethical practice it enables. As a conceptual proposal, the framework requires empirical validation.
