Version 2 The Unified Octave Wave System, Version 2: Phai as Energy Itself — Space at Level 10^0, Black Hole at Level 10^45, and the Replacement of "c" ( 3*10^8 m/s)as the Universal Constant
This paper is Version 2 and an extension of Version 1 of the Unified Octave Wave System. It introduces the octave domain, defined by o = log2(f/f0), as a third representation of a signal after the time domain and the frequency domain, in which scaling of frequency becomes simple translation. The paper defines Phai as energy itself, not the energy of an object, and proposes that Phai is conserved across octaves and cannot be created, destroyed, divided or multiplied. It proposes that E = mc^2 describes a single octave band, and that Phai, rather than the speed of light c, is the universal constant. A universal equation, Phai = m(o) c(o)^2 Φ(o), is introduced, with Φ(o) as an octave form factor. A descent of 149.5 octaves, from 10^45 to 10^0, is described, in which the same Phai appears as black hole, plasma, helium, heavy atoms, molecules and finally space. Keywords: Phai; octave domain; log-frequency; energy; universal constant; variable mass; Planck time; mass-energy equivalence; cosmic spectrum; Unified Octave Wave System.
