Litarachna poliacarus Pesic & Marshall 2026

Litarachna poliacarus Pešić & Marshall, 2026 Figure 2 Material examined— Brunei Darussalam, Pantai Tungku (south bay), artificial breakwater on sandy beach, 4.971299º N, 114.864833º E, collected from the algal turf, 8 November 2025, leg. Zawal, 1♀ dissected and slide mounted (RMNH), sequenced (Voucher Id: K134_2; BOLD Id: HYDPT240-26). Remarks —The examined female matches the description of L. poliacarus, a species recently described from an artificial breakwater at Pantai Tungku, Brunei (Pešić et al. 2026d). In the COI-based phylogenetic tree, the sequence obtained from the latter species was placed, albeit with very low bootstrap support, as the sister taxon to the L. smiti + L. samudra sp. nov. clade. Because the original description of Litarachna poliacarus lacked illustrations of the female palp, chelicera, and I-leg-5 and -6, these diagnostic details are provided here based on a newly collected female specimen. Distribution — Brunei.
